Unleashing Students’ Creativity

Maker spaces are a school’s hub for both formal and informal learning experiences.

Expanding on the idea of a traditional classroom, maker spaces add creation and play into learning. Equipment in spaces like this can range from 3D printers, to multimedia equipment, robotics kits and wood working tools. The furniture used in this type of space needs to accommodate the equipment, but also be durable and modular and provide a solid and large place to make and places to ideate. Paragon supports this next generation of teaching and learning with our MAKER FARM™ series, a line of tables and white boards perfectly crafted to support this type of environment.

Project-based learning has been transforming the way curriculum is being taught. To allow for this new hands-on way of teaching and learning, maker spaces are being integrated among traditional classrooms. A maker space is a place to explore, create, imagine and play. Combine Paragon’s MAKER INVENT™ tables with Paragon MAKER™ Idea Boards for the ultimate next generation maker environment.

Learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom anymore. Learning can happen anywhere. Students want a hands-on experience. They want to collaborate. This new way of learning is changing how teachers and students work together, as well the role the environment plays in supporting their activities. Explore and learn from a variety of Implementation Guides & Articles that were written on Active Learning practices and strategies to support the change in your school.
